ALJEFF provide an Assessment / Addiction Service within the prison. This service is available to persons with alcohol, other drug and behaviour dependency issues.
ALJEFF service offers a safe drug-free environment in which we provide an intensive, wide-ranging programme of rehabilitation that aims to give individuals the practical skills and emotional resolve to live a healthy, dependency-free life.
The service represents a holistic approach to lasting recovery, one that addresses all aspects of a person’s life, emotional, social, physical, psychological and cognitive aspects of selfhood.
The Service is open to individuals who are open to looking at their substance use and /or behavioural compulsions and who have a desire to rebuild their lives and enjoy a fulfilling life free of addiction.
We accept referrals from: Governor, Medical team, Probation Services, Chaplin
If members who have remained abstinent through the Prison Programmes are to remain abstinent, we recognise that it is essential to provide them with adequate specialist support. With this in mind, as part of continuum of care, ALJEFF provides Transitional / Treatment Programmes for clients who have part-taken fully with our in-prison service.
