ALJEFF - Respect, Dignity and Consideration you deserve
NOTE FROM GENERAL MANAGER - BILLY FOX
In 2008, we embarked on our eighth year of providing services to individuals caught up the painful world of addiction, substance misuse / dependence and homelessness. In the past year, we witnessed another rise in the number of individuals availing of our services. We have also witnessed a growth in the number of concerned persons, parents and children, with their own stories / fears and concerns. Each seeking ways to help themselves and in turn be of support to their loved ones in the hope that they (their loved ones) will be helped to break free from the imprisonment of substance misuse / dependence / addiction.

Problems of drug use, homelessness, crime, substance abuse continue to devastate many individuals across City and County every year; however, in conjunction with other services we are now much better equipped to address these problems. The services we provide are a holistic approach which includes links with other agencies / groups in the interest of continuum of care for all our clients. With the support of the Regional Drugs Task Force our connection in the community is greatly enhanced. We now have Outreach Workers working in the heart of the community, this has helped to develop further links with community and voluntary services fostering inter agency co-operation providing a holistic approach to treatment / rehabilitation programmes.

We are conscious of the current economic climate and the consequences of this and with this in mind, the ALJEFF team will stay firm in our resolve to continuously deliver holistic treatment / rehabilitation to those who put their trust in us.

I would like to sincerely thank all those who have been so supportive of the work of ALJEFF during the past year. I wish to pay particularly thanks to the Redemptorist Community and Limerick Social Services for their ongoing support and making space available for the delivery of services.
