The Special Category Employment Scheme is seen as part of the continuum of care to facilitate and support participants in their ongoing recovery from alcohol or drug misuse. The main objectives of the CE Scheme are to identify individual training needs through continuous one to one sessions and also to develop and provide educational programmes in line with participants needs. The SC CE Scheme also supports participants during their work placement with a view to achieving sustainable employment.

Eligibility

Participants must have completed Aljeff Pre-Treatment and Primary Care Programme and / or have completed treatment with another recognised organisation and must be totally abstinent from alcohol / drugs. Participants must also be seen to actively engaged in an After Care programme.
